Murals

A mural will transform a room or any space into a restful oasis, dining experience or a child's fantasyland.
Just let your imagination go.

This kitchen had a box light that hung down and took up a lot of space.

Here is the new light selected for the space.

The picture on the top left is of when the box light was removed.  I painted a bright blue sky and added clouds tinged with pink.  The top right photo shows the end result with the ceiling painted with clouds.  It is always a lovely, sunny day now.

Elephants are her favorite animal, so the homeowner decided to adorn her dining room with a view of the African tundra.  The sunset adds a peaceful atmosphere as you gaze out the painted window frame.

Little Bo Peep has lost her sheep.  She should look around her!
Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.

Rock-a-bye baby in the treetop.

This mural is painted on 3 panels high above the family room.  The space is 9'X 21' and was done on scaffolding.  The illusion is a tropical paradise viewed from a tiled veranda with wisteria growing over the arched porch.

These next 2 shots are close up views of the 3 panels.

Transport yourself to a lovely garden by the sea as you sit in this room and enjoy the outdoors, while indoors.

You can almost hear the pounding surf high above the family room in this home.

Horses are wild and free.  This one gallops above a little girls' bed.

When you're expecting twins the room needs to be ready for them!  "I love you as high as the airplanes fly!" loops around the window then airplanes fly around the room.  Just in time for twin boys.

Eagle scouts like to tackle big projects!  This one built the structure which is a stand alone set of panels that fold up into a playhouse.  The other scouts helped me paint the stone blocks.  Then I finished it with a dragon, butterflies, flowers and greenery climbing up the stone blocks.  It was donated it to the nearby elementary school and it now resides in the kindergarten room to the delight of all the little munchkins.

The playroom is the best spot for Grandma to snuggle and read a good story to the little ones.  This is the reading corner complete with birds, bunnies and butterflies.

This baby turtle is excited to explore the possibilities of life.

Purple bunnies munch on carrots.

The baby bird stretches his wings.

Butterflies flutter by.

This mural was done in a very small bathroom at a cabin in the woods.  I got my ideas from some clipart called "At the Cabin".  Appropriate, huh?  I went outside and collected leaves from the trees surrounding the cabin for the trees in the room, so they are quite authentic.

The tree trunk encloses the toilet paper roll.  I thought that was quite clever for a cabin bath.

This is the opposite wall in the cabin bath.  An owl observes whatever is going on in the bathroom.  He has buggy eyes and looks kind of surprised.

This is an alcove set into the wall on the side of the staircase.  The house was new construction and a total pleasure to paint.  The rosebuds greet you as you enter the front door into the foyer.  It gives an elegant look to the curved staircase and entryway.

A rose swag adorns the doorway arch leading into the family room. t

Under the stairs is a great place to hid and play.  I made it inviting with a garden theme.

Painted shutters and a window box brimming with cheerful blue flowers surround an opening in the side wall.

The back wall features a picket fence with a beautiful blue butterfly coming to chat.

Coneflowers and a turtle adorn one side of the wall.

The playroom is meant for both boys and girls so I gave them Hollyhocks and a frog prince on the other wall.

The frog prince waits for you at the bottom of the holy hocks.

Bumble bees and sunflowers greet you at the entrance to the playroom.

Busy bright bottomed bees buzzing around sunflowers.

Here's another view of the window just beyond the picket fence door.  I later added a pretty pink butterfly above.

Howdy partner!  Come put your head on top of this Toy Story panel and git your picture took!  This was used at a church party with a western theme.

This little mouse is near the floor of the breakfast nook.

I painted ivy vines around the rest of the walls and windows growing out of exposed bricks.
